A challenging course if you aren't accurate. I won't play this course again though. The ranger on this course was terrible, the TWOsome in front of our FOURsome got a hole ahead of our group and he followed us for 5 holes even though the group behind us was a hole behind also. The course was nice but not worth that hassle. There are better courses around there that I would rather go to.

Jeffersonville is a pretty cool course with its strength being some unique and interesting holes. It plays like a shorter course than it is primarily because of the long par 5 6th. Although not overly challenging, it does provide a nice balance between being easy enough to make quality shots, yet not to the extreme of pinpoint accuracy. The greens were fair and average in speed while the general maintainance was good, but not great. While the fairways were fine, anything off of them didn't seem to get much attention. The other thing that kind of is a problem is that too many tee boxes are to close to other holes. Consequently, you often find yourself either waiting for golfers to tee off on other holes or feel uncomfortable teeing off knowing they are waiting and watching you. The value, $29 to walk twilight weekend is at the threshold of a fair value. Anything more, it wouldn't be worth it. Mainland is a similar style golf course a half an hour away and is a much better deal, but again, the value is at the high point, but fair. They do have logo balls for the logo ball lover like myself, a huge plus. A cute course, would play again. Overall rating B.
The course is usually in very good shape. Thats where the positives end though. I have played there 4 straight times now where the course played ridiculously slow. They jam as many groups as they can into a single tee time. So if you want to play as a twosome, forget about it. Not to mention the rangers NEVER drive around to see why the teams on the course are not moving. I have been stuck behind people who have no clue what they are doing or understand the etiquette of golf. Another time I got stuck behind a father and 3 kids. The kids spent more time goofing around in the fairways and throwing things at each other than actually golfing. Again, where are the rangers? Very nice course, but not worth all the aggravation. Plays WAY too slow. If you decide to golf here, plan on a 5 hour round at least.
The pin placements here have ALWAYS been well thought out and challenging. If you don't want to improve, play elsewhere. If you want a fun course to play, this is it.The course had been hit with a lot of rain this month (April) and is still in GREAT shape.
