Absolutely not special. Every tee shot has a hidden landing view and when you arrive over the hill where your ball should be it takes 10 minutes to find it. Makes for extremely slow play. Leave your long irons home as this course plays really short. Get ready to hit with the ball above your feet or below due to crazy bad lies on every fairway. Not a fan!

I play at Portland a few times each year. I love the layout, short and tight all the way around with a couple long holes on the back 9. This summer has wreaked some havoc in a lot of places on the course, but I've seen that in a lot of the state. I though the greens were in very good condition. They seemed to keep them a bit long so they wouldn't dry out which is understandable. I'll definitely be back.
