Overall this course is well maintained and is a good value for the money. They offer a military and senior citizen's discount and other weekday specials. On many of the holes you are blind to the green, this can be a challenge for the first time player. Should add a course layout to the scorecard or provide a separate course layout sheet. Have played here several times this summer and plan to go back again.
Sometimes I think it's a little spendy for the course. But the course is always in great condition and they have a grass driving range. Play can be slow sometimes but not too bad.
Golf in this area is more expensive than in the area of NC where I live. Only the better courses in my area ask 35 dollars for an afternoon rate during the week. This is what I paid here. The tee boxes were in good shape. The greens were also in decent shape but a little slow. Fairways were not in good shape. The grass was just starting to grow in and was very clumpy. Very hard in some places and soaking wet in others. A few spots totally bare. The rough is very tough. Lots of blind shots. Not many yardage markers and scorecard and hole markers listed different yardage. No marshal and pace of play is very slow. Its not a terrible course....lots of pretty views....could be a great course with a little more care but not worth what they are charging.
Club and ball washers on all carts; carts are newer. Scenic views. NO MILITARY DISCOUNT; they offer a middle of the week day for the military while they are busy working: lame. Military guys save your ~$15 bucks difference by going to Medal Of Honor course 3mi away on Quantico and have a few.
