Spring 2011 Update: They really need to bite the bullet and regrade the 13th green. It is sloped too steeply and it has been a problem for many years. When you can not stop a ball on the green from above the hole or below it (a putt that misses the cup from below the hole will come all the way back to you and then some), that is a problem. It is enough to make me consider finding a new home course.I drive about 25 miles from Maryland to play this course more than any other. As others have written, it is a course for shotmakers, heavily tree-lined with lots of dog-legs and a few blind tee-shots. The range, chipping and practice greens are all close to the clubhouse and the tee-boxes for #1 and #10. If you like getting in a walking workout while you play, the hills on this course will put you through your paces.
Played this course yesterday. Course was in great shape. The greens were just aerated 8 days ago and were close to being fine. Fairways were nice and the ProShop is great. Staff was friendly also. The only negative in my book is no grass driving range, just mats.
