With all of the great courses to play in the Myrtle Beach area, there is no reason to play this one. The scenery is non-existent, the course just winds through a neighborhood of houses, and it appears that most of the old growth trees were removed to build the course. The layout is unimaginative, and it felt like the same shot all day long - try to get as long as possible off the tee, and then try to drop an iron over the bunker that was inevitably placed in front of the green. The folks were friendly, the price was right, and the course was in very good condition. Still, I won't be going back.
My wife surprised me with a round of golf Father's Day weekend that included 3 of my closest friends. When she booked the tee time the young man on the phone did not tell her that the greens were just punched nor did they tell us upon arrival at the facility. We went ahead and played since my wife went to so much time and effort to put this together. My wife was understandably upset when I told her afterward and she called the golf course the next day. They gave her the manager's contact information because it was his day off. However, due to our hectic schedules we were unable to call again until the following week. To say that the manager, Steve, was rude and obnoxious is an understatement. Needless to say, we will never play that course again and make sure that all of our family, friends and coworkers know about the treatment that we received.
I have played here every time I go to myrtle Beach. Very nice people and they let my nephew play for free. The course is tough with waste areas on almost ever hole. It is a must play for any one going to Myrtle Beach
Nice course. It is probably the most difficult course I have played. If you miss the green on your approach, you are pretty much screwed. Nice conditions made it worth while.
Starter was a jerk. We did show up a few minutes late (but finished the round in under the time mentioned in the card). At the turn, he called me cheap for not tipping him. I liek to tip at the end of teh round, as I can actually see how nice the people are. (at Palmetto greens right up the road, the cart lady was so friendly i gave her a 10 before I left) We told him this and he was a jerk about it. At the end of the round, I went to tip him and he said "keep it". I would never play here again. He was a complete ***** and no one needs that. Southern Hospitality my a......
