We played today and while busy, the pace of play was not bad, especially after the first three or four holes. The staff that welcomed golfers at the bag drop could use some training in customer service. When we asked them about the driving range, we were told that it was closed and you can't get any balls at the Pro Shop. We then asked about the chipping area, we were also told you cannot have any balls from the Pro Shop even though it was open. The staff in the Pro Shop was pleasant and were about the only staff members who were. The course was actually in good shape for early March and the tee boxes, fairways and bunkers were all in good condition. The greens were a surprise and were in good shape. They were fairly fast and seemed to hold a line pretty well. There were very few ball marks and little evidence of disease. Considering our other experiences in the are during the second week of March, this was a very enjoyable experience. The beverage cart made the rounds frequently and there are plenty of water stations and rest rooms throughout the course.Get a coupon for a reduced rate for greens fees/cart and this will be an enjoyable experience.
The course has a nice layout but the condition was awful. Strongly advise against playing this course. But the course design, practice facilities, and clubhouse give this club potential.
