If I could add pictures of greens I would because I couldn't believe they could be in such bad shape. Course is not maintained at all from the looks of it. Greens are spotty and almost bald. Bunkers look like dirt instead of sand. The bug problem is bad....I got bite twice on the 9th hole. Not a course you want to play by yourself. You need a spotter to help you will ball flight if your not a straight shooter and to watch out for dangerous wildlife. The best thing about this place is the 19th hole. The bar has pretty good food and you might be okay using the range. Other than that stay away....as far as you can. This is by far the worst course in the Charleston area.
Don't let the past sway you away from this course. While reserved only for military and govt workers, cevilians can get on with a sponsor. Course is in muvh better shape than previous years. While not a long, course it is very narrow, making straight shots mandatory. Bring bug spray and expect to see, deer, gators, turkeys, and other wildlife. Cannot beat it for the cost.
I have played here off and on over the last 2 years. The greens are ALWAYS HORRIBLE and the price isn't that good. If you are in the military there are many other very nice courses locally you can play for pretty much the same price.
The fourth hole mole destroys the green makes it hard to putt correctly. The waitess is very unfriendly and complains about serving you, five feet from you. For the money go somewhere else, if you are just on the way home from base then should stop and play.
