At first, I thought I was playing the Mt. Union Legion Course all over again...but soon, the scenic side of this course showed up, and I certainly am glad to have played a round here. There are some holes with some nice mountain views and some scenic holes like 11 and 12 that grab your attention. The positives...fair course...nothing complicated...some wide fairways...greens true...fairly open and little water (a little on the back nine- watch out on 17th approach). The negatives...some skinny fairways...the first cut is most courses rough and the rough was too long. This is a long course with most Par 4s around 400...for the short hitter...any shot in the rough and there is NO chance of reaching these greens in regulation...I hit no short irons into any greens except 16. The Par 3s are also long...one at 154 (#10)...the other three over 175. I guess you could play the gold tees and shorten up the course...but I always play the whites no matter what. If you hit the ball long and straight like you're suppose to do...you will have little trouble here. If you hit the ball short...this will test you. It's a worthwhile stop regardless.
