This is a county setting golf course, and has some beautiful views of the country side. Sorry to say that is all good i have to say about this golf course. I was miss led by the management into driving to Ravena to play golf, I was told it was wide open when I called to get a tee time and come in and play there would be no back up when i got there. Well on arrival to the course after driving nearly an hour to get there I found out there was a tournament going on and I would have to wait for an additional hour before we could tee off. I was not informed of us this till after we had all paid for 18 holes and our carts. Then we were told we would have to play the back 9 first because they were not letting us go off the front with their tournament going on. we played the back with a group of very loud golfers behind us pushing us around the course. when we went to play the front 9 to finish our round we greeted by the golf coach from the Burnt Hills JV golf team and told we were going to have a very long afternoon playing behind his kids, he never offered to let us play threw. At that point after being lied to and what the management had allowed to happen on the course we decided to go get a refund for the 9 holes that we were in no way going to be able to finish before dark, we were told the owner would not allow a refund. I grew up in this area and I am heart broken to see what has become of one of the finest golf courses in the Albany area. I found the management to be very unfriendly, and the course to be poorly managed. The owner of this course is also the owner of Evergreen so i would think twice before spending money at either course. Please don't make the same mistake we made, don't play these two courses.
On Monday Sept 19th we went to play being told that there was a tournament but not to worry we would have no problem getting out. We waited 30 mins to tee off the 10th because of this tournament still no big deal. As we played we were getting pushed along by the group behind us who by the way was part of this tournament. when we finished the back nine we went to tee of on the 1st only to be told by a burnt hills golf coach that it was going to be a long wait because his kids are going ahead of us. It this point I was fed up and went to the pro shop to complain and see about a refund but that clearly wasn't happening. After much complaining they gave us each a rain check for nine holes (like they were doing me some kind of favor). So in the end I will never return to this course or any other course run by these people( Evergreen C.C.).
