Clearview golf offers flat, wide forgiving fairways and thick, tricky greens that are difficult to two putt. The difficult greens make up for the straight, wide easy par 4 fairways. There are only two par 5 holes and two water holes. This flat course is a good one for walkers. Course was lush and well maintained this summer thanks to a mild season and attentive care from the grounds crew. Their $34.50 + ($3 parking fee) Tuesday all day tee time specials or daily times before 7:00 am are crowded, slow and make for a 5+ hour round Tuedays. Better reserve a time online or you may be denied entrance after 11:00. Rangers are present and help to call up hitters on the #4 par 3 hole. Seniors should join their 55+ club and you will get that rate anytime you play plus early res. privileges. It's a no brainer. Otherwise it's $61.50 with cart. Vistas of the Throggs neck Bridge and LI sound from many holes makes this a beautiful course adjacent to the bridge. The new bar cafe area inside is beautiful. The staff inside and out are super friendly and helpful. Some staff are bilingual for Asian golfers.
