I'm surprised to see the mixed reviews on this course. I've played almost every course in the Southern Jersey/Atlantic City area and Mays Landing is one of the best. The course itself has a lot of interesting holes where a carry is needed over some wasteland and or water which comes into play on several holes. The maintainance was very good, fairways nice, but the greens were the absolute best. Fair speed, true reads and if you can putt you can put up a really nice score. Due to the aforementioned carries and water obstacles the course provided some decently challenging holes while still allowing you to hit quality shots unlike other courses I've played where the obstacles require layups or ridiculous pinpoint accuracy. The price of $25 to walk twilight weekday is wonderful for a course of its caliber. They have logo balls for the logo ball lover like myself, a huge plus. Apparently it can get a little crowded as it was the day I went, but that is to be expected for a course like this and the starter did a good job spacing out players. What's not to like. I'd strongly recommend giving this place a try, I know I will. Overall rating A.
Course maintenance was very poor on the day I played - unfortunately, we were replaying the course in the same day so I had to put up with the poor conditions twice!
