Early July and doing maintenance on the greens. The front 9 was fine. The back 9 was a totally different experience. Actually spreading sand on the greens for the entire back 9. With the amount of money paid for this round, I should not have to putt through other golfers footprints on the greens. Maintenance workers actually ran over one of our tee shots and left engines idling while putting and hitting from fairways. Will never be back to your course, management should be ashamed of the maintenance crew and should have given discount if working on greens during a round. Played many of rounds of golf up and down the East coast and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Truly embarrassing conditions to a course I heard great things about..
Got a great deal with golf link. Played a very nice course in great condition. Did not play well but that's my problem.
Brutally average golf course. Conditions in August were sub-par, and worse than some muni courses (in the fairways). The greens were in good shape. If you like dead straight holes, with an occasional dogleg that forces you to layup mixed in, then you might like this place. It is one of the most lazy designs I have ever seen. Even the corridors of trees appear too have been cleared by someone who drew two straight parallel lines on either side of the hole, and cut down everything in between. It is bowling lane golf with some bunkers thrown in. I like Stephen Kay's work in general. Scotland Run is good, and McCullough's has some really fun holes, but this course is a snore and NOT up to the standard of the other high end courses in the area; Twisted Dune, Vineyard, Seaview, Ballamor, Atlantic City, Sea Oaks, et al. The course I played today was worth $65, not $105.
