In response to the post made by wncgolfer about the head professional of LCC, he produced that review back in 2009- I am quite certain that he would find a hearty welcome by Mr. Steve Smart today. Mr. Smart brought a much brighter attitude to Lenoir since he accepted the position of Director of Golf back in 2015.
Played this course today. Once we found the 1st tee all was well. Finding your way around the course the first time you play it is a bit challenging. That is my only complaint. The course was in immaculate condition. Greens were perfect! There were a couple of temporary tee boxes, however, I give the course credit for keeping the tee boxes in good shape. We played from the whites (approx. 5,800 yds)and found the course easily manageable for a couple of guys in our mid 60's. There are a couple of holes where it would be nice to know how far it is to the hazard if you don't have a range finder. The fairways were in very good condition despite very little rain in the month of Sept. The course can tend to be crowded, however the threesome in front of us moved right along. It is a great course and one we are adding to our rotation.
This course is in excellent condition. Condition wise it is the best course that I have played this year. Its definetly as nice if not nicer than Cedarbrook or Cedar Rock or other similar courses in the area. This will propably become my new favorite place to play.
