There is only one problem the front 8 par 3 green needs to be fixed.

The Pearl is a little deceiving by name. It's not a Pearl but it could be a diamond in the ruff. For a municipal course it is in pretty good condition. The front 9 is open and beginners can hit from one fairway back to the correct green or fairway and you fairly good golfer can post a low score, but the back 9 has very narrow fairways lined with trees on both sides and difficult approach shots with hazards in the front of some greens and on the sides of others. It is well worth the money ($25.00, cart included. I was in Jackson,Ms on business and played the Pearl and I would play it again IF I just happen to be in the area. The people are very nice and will do all they can to make you feel at home.

The front is very open and fair. The course is maintained pretty well considering its Pearl. Get in your low scores while you can on the front.
The back is a whole different story. You are faced with a TIGHT 9 holes facing you.
Overall for the money Pearl is the best daily player around.
