I have played at True North 4 times now and every time gets better and better. The experience from beginning to end is tailored just for you. No matter what you ask for, the staff always delivers with style and class ... they care, anticipate every need and they want to go out of their way share this amazing place with you .The course is truly and always in meticulous shape. I can say that this has a course and experience that everyone MUST enjoy at least once in their life and if they are truly fortunate count as a “home course “. 5 stars
I had never heard of True North before it was on the top public 100 but I am so glad I did. I went up just as the fall colors were beginning to change and the course being surrounded by a forest definitely made the scenery memorable. I went with my wife and before we started it was very windy and a little rainy. The gentleman working the pro shop offered to borrow my wife his rain pants. Now that is customer service! The second hole was probably my favorite, but almost all of them were fantastic. Even with leaves beginning to fall the course was perfectly maintained,so well that I played the course with one ball, which is tough to do sometimes in the fall. I have never had such a good experience on a golf course, this place treats you like royalty. This is an absolute must play in Michigan. Also for some reason the star rankings won't edit, but I rank it 4.5 stars overall.
I'm surprises this course isn't ranked higher in Michigan, like in the the Top 8 or 10. Everything was perfect, the staff treated you like you a country club member and the course design and up north scenery made it fun round. Twilight pricing wasn't bad either. Compares favorably if not better than Tullymore, another Jim Enghn design
