NOT EASY VERY Challenging WAY TOUGHER THAN PILGRIM OAK-PREPARED TO BE HUMBLED
Layout is nice - holes are scenic, but for the most part open and forgiving. No way it's as tough as its 73.3/133 rating.Tees are well-kept; fairways are average; greens are some of the slowest around, even in-season. Overall I'd say a below-average value considering guest fee is $60. Can play twilight at Rising Sun, Pilgrim's Oak, or Mountain Branch for less money (all of which are better courses).
WR has no pool, no tennis courts, no frils (think more of Rocky Point GC, and less of Caves Valley). But, for those looking to join an affordable private golf club in the Bel Air area look no further. The course itself has a great layout and some very scenic holes (in particular #6 and #17, really are pretty). The bunkers could use some TLC and a larger grass range would be nice, but all-in-all it seems like a great value for those who want a golf only course and don't want to break the bank.
