This course is a very challenging track, especially when the wind is strong. Many changes in elevation that have you choosing your shots carefully. It has been cleaned up recently and the environmental areas are much more open now but this is a course the eats golf balls. Lots of fun to play and makes you think your way around the course. Best to play the blind holes with a friend to spot for you. It is an excellent value and has a discount for Peabody residents. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The course is always in excellent shape with very nice greens. On the front 9 holes 4, 5 and 8 are very challenging with large elevation changes, especially when played from the blue tees. A fun course that rewards the straight shooter and a course that you have to play a number of times to get to know.
this is the course i play the most but the first time reviewing it. Like i tell everyone, you either love it or hate it after youre first time playing it. its target golf. definately need local knowledge when you play it for the first time. its also a must ride course. the layout has variety tho. no 2 holes are alike. the prices are the best around and the maintenance only makes the price better. the course is always in fantastic shape. greens are always fast, rough is always well, rough. you definately have to know your yardages playing here. good luck not losing any balls.
Revisited this course after almost two years. Played it better than the first time. Still, extremely hilly. Way too many blind shots, even after you tee off. Pretty course though. Still well maintained for a muni.
Great value, not a course I'd ever want to walk as it has very dramatic elevation changes on some of the holes. Pretty high difficulty for an average to weaker player. Played on a sunday in September 2009 and our foursome was hit into three times by the group behind us on the front 9, never seemed to be a marshall present.
