What a marvelous surprise playing this old track with a new name. It's been ten years since the last time I came to this venue. What an improvement! The course is under a new name called Crystal Lake Golf Club. The greens were rolling spectacular. The new owners are putting some good money into an old layout, that needed some much needed revamping. The front nine is a little more difficult than the back nine. The 3rd & 8th green is a double green. You feel like you are playing the old course in Scotland with the double green. Plus you can converse with another party while playing, if you ball goes astray. Both par 3's on the front side are long, so greenies are not a given. The back side is a little easier, so you can leave dreaming that the next time I play this course, "I will concur her". I will be making a return trip to this course, sooner than I did the last time.

The new owners are doing a great job! Hope they will give more attention to tee boxes next year. Great value.
