This is a fun course to play. The play was kind of slow but nothing too bad. The greens were in great shape for fall play as were the fairways. The rough was a little long but that could have been due to rain in the area. I would suggest playing this course if you are in the Louisville area.
Great course. beautiful very friendly staff.
They should call it a "STAY AWAY AND PLAY GOLF PCKG"!! Had to call 5 times to make reservation and they still messed it up. Got double billed and could not wait to get out of there, rude and unprofessional. Obviously FUZZY does not use his parking space to check up on his people. Waitstaff was a perfect 10 though. Golf somewhere else and go there for lunch.
Covered Bridge is a great golf course that is in beautiful condition. My group included golfers with handicaps ranging from 2 to 24 & we all enjoyed the round. While the course can present a challenge for the low handicap golfer with well placed bunkers & thick rough, it is also very playable by the high handicap golfer - few forced carries. I would highly recommend this course. It is easily accessible from both I-65 & I-64, so stop by if you are passing through the area or if staying in downtown Louisville it's only a 10 - 15 minute drive. We played Saturday & Sunday afternoon - the afternoon rate is a great value. Pace of play was very good for a busy afternoon (4 hours 15 mins).
Covered Bridge Golf Club is a beautiful course. The course is in great condition and very well maintained. The view of it from the clubhouse is absolutely gorgeous. The course has a couple tricky holes, like number 5, but is a perfect course for average and above average golfers. The practice facilities are great for warming up and to just practice on a sunny day. The other great thing about this course is it is a Championship Style golf course that is open to the public. Their restaurant is also very good. I highly recommend the Sunnye Buffalo Wrap. I highly recommend this course.
Great personality.....lots of things to like about this course....but...the management of play was horrendous....we played behind two FIVESOMES ( yes, I said five!) and a twosome..... had to wait on every shot...no reason to pay that kind of a price and have that sort of violation happen on a course....I haven't played anywhere that would let that happen......even on a slower day....may take me a few years before I consider going back....
