BEWARE OF OWNER - As others have mentioned in their reviews: Terry was astoundingly condescending and unprofessional as a business owner. When I politely asked if they served beer, Terry scoffed and replied, "No, this is a family fun center, not some yahoo beer place!" While following the common cart tracks through the grass from the end of hole 8 to hole 9 (where there is no cart path), a low-hanging dead branch caught the edge of our cart roof resulting in a small laceration to my golf partner's lip. When we came back inside to get a wet paper towel and clean the blood of his face, Terry accusingly asked me if we were on the cart path. I replied, "No, there is not cart path between those holes", to which Terry scornfully interjected with, "so you were just driving all over the place!" and continued to demean us rather than offer an apology or first aid, even after finally admitting that there is no cart part for that part of the course. When we kindly asked for a raincheck so that we could go get some antibiotic ointment, Terry mockingly said, "you really think you can't finish?" After several remarkably unprofessional comments about how much to refund us, Terry reluctantly gave us a $10 raincheck voucher while continuing to make snide comments about how there are other low hanging branches on the course. I would NOT recommend bringing your family/friends to Otte based on how they treat customers and maintain their facilities. Instead, try Rascal's fun zone for mini golf (go-carts and arcade) or Cypress Run for golf. Both of these establishments are owned by polite, responsible, and courteous professionals who value their customer service experience.
Played a round the morning of 7/11/20 and the guy from the clubhouse desk comes out to 13 tee and says how long are you going to take, I just saw you on 17? I had been been on 17 and I was playing behind a very slow foursome. He was all agitated and said he needed carts. I finally skipped 17 and went around the foursome that ended up being a fivesome with three carts and finished up 18 without putting. I guess this place is not as friendly as everyone says. I've been there before and they seemed to be ok, but today the staff was rude. Not worth it for a Saturday round, do yourself a favor and play elsewhere.
The Otte golf course was overpriced at $22 for a par 3. The course itself was very poorly maintained with many greens having geese droppings and dead grass, one green was about 1/3 dirt because the grass had died. There were a few decent water hazards but the "bunkers" were merely piles of sand. The holes were boring with only one or two being remotely memorable. This would all be fine were it not pricier. In addition to the poor course the staff was very rude. While checking in the cashier was unfriendly. On one of the longer holes three of us in our foursome hit poor shots well off to the right (we are all new to the game) instead of taking both golf carts over 3 of us squished in together on one cart to go to our balls. A few minutes later the same lady drove up to tell us that we needed to stop "jacking around on the carts" and that we were about to be kicked out. In conclusion the course was unfriendly, over priced, poorly maintained and just plain bad. I strongly recommend against it.
