Having been playing this course since 1982 I am happy to share this information with everyone who is considering playing here. This course is in the best condition I have ever seen it in. A new Superintendant was brought in and I understand he came from Sea Island and he has done a very good job rejuvenating this course. There are some great deals to be had here as well. Green fees paid for before 11:00 AM weekdays are good for all day golf plus cart. Norm
3/21/2010 This is an update to my last two years ago. The new clubhouse is now completed with a very nice resturant - which serves breakfast on the weekends and with normal hours of 11AM into the afternoon. There's a patio which looks over the 18th green. The Pro Shop (seperate facility)is now fully active serving all of your golf needs. The gift shop in the club house is expanding what it carries for all golfers. The course is in good shape - difficult as always for the average golfer with nice greens - lots of water and sandtraps - gators and other wildlife - including nesting Osprey (2 sets) and Heron. Deer, hawks, woodpeckers and even wild hogs can be seen from time to time.As I've stated before the scratch golfer or one looking for Sawgrass will be unhappy - but all others should enjoy their experience! chuckThis is a course which has constantly improved over the years! One expecting a Private Club will be disappointed but for an open golf course this is pretty Good! It's on a military reservation and has multiple constraints - yet continues to improve. It's a fun course and for those in the low to medium handicaps a fun round of golf. It's also a great course to learn to play and improve your game. I can see also that many low handicap golfers might find the course too easy or not a high enough quality - or those who belong to private clubs elsewhere. And the pro is both friendly and knowledgeable!
