I played the course last week and its nothing like it use to be, the course use to stay maintain and SUPER NICE GREENS, To me it just didn't seem very well kept maintained. People were driving carts all over the course on tees & greens. Bunkers looked awful. No grass to hit off of in fairway, WEEDS ARE TAKING THE PLACE OVER. Sorry but want be back.
What a shocker I got this past weekend. I played in a 2 man tournament that I played in a few years back. This year the course was in pretty bad shape NO GRASS in fairways the whole course was dry and hard pan the green were hard and and dry, the sand looked bad and cart paths were patch with gravel.
Great historic golf course, adjacent to the capital of the Cherokee Indian Nation New Echota, that never fails to meet expectations with the quality of their bent grass greens. The value is hard to beat at $20-25 twilight rates. The course is relatively short and tight that creates many birdie opportunities and chances to test your shot shaping abilities. This course is also one of the few courses that allows outside coolers. There is a snack bar open seasonally and if interested in becoming a member($150/yr)there is a nice 19th hole sports bar.
