Great design I understood why was a TPC course, It's a shame some areas are deteriorated can be great again beautiful Golf Course very challenging good greens
Haven't played the course in several years and was pleasantly surprised as the greens were rolling true and the fairways were in good condition considering what's going on now with the Rona. Inside staff Rob answered all my questions about the do's and don't's and made me feel welcomed. Can't wait to play it again. I'll be back next month for sure.
Ric. d's review, in 2011, is even more true today.This course, a great Championship design (unsuitable for average players) is in dreadful condition.At over $80, this was a real disappointment. Weeds everywhere, including tees and greens; fairways not cut; no sand in bunkers; carts needing repair or with dead battery - even the paths had potholes.The people I was paired with paid only $30; even that was too much.Sad to see this bankrupt facility, surrounded by the fine homes of the original, long gone members.
This once historically great club has seen better days. The new owners let a bad superintendent ruin the course before finally firing him and in their search for revenue have turned it into a basically semi-private club which seem to cater to outsiders more than the full dues paying members. If this club doesn't decide soon what it wants to be, a first class private club or a daily fee cash factory it may end up not being either.
