Conditions are good and the staff is friendly. Mountain views are spectacular. The drawback: the routing is sometimes confusing and there are tight holes where golfers are bunched up. Overall, I give it 3.5.
Was excited to start the round, but that excitement was soon overshadowed by the golf marshal. Two holes into the round my son, wife who are beginner golfers and myself were approached and lectured by the marshal regarding our pace of play. It was a Sunday late afternoon on a holiday and there were not many golfers there. We were in no way slowing down the round for anyone as the closest golfer was 2 wholes behind us. Later on the 7th hole, the marshal was rude and unprofessional enough to drive up right behind me as I was getting ready to take a second shot and again with no one behind us or waiting we were lectured about pace of play. I submitted a complaint to management and they assure me they are beginner and kid friendly, however the actions of their staff and based on other comments on this site seem to disagree completely with that. Beautiful course, good value, but due to the lack of respect for the golfers, and future golfers I will never go here again nor recommend it to any of my fellow golfers.
What a fun and different course.
Took my son and nephew out to play last monday afternoon. Both are beginners. We had the whole course to ourselves, so I figured it would be a perfect day. After playing 6 holes the staff came out and scolded us for not playing fast enough, even though we had nobody behind us. WHAT A JERK!!! I will NEVER play that course again.
Just played yesterday, winter rates are a great value. Enjoyed view of the mountains and the course is in good shape so far. I like the change of pace and new challenge for my short game from where I usually play.
