Just returned, from visiting friends in Loveland, and had an opportunity to play Mariana Butte on two days. This course is absolutely beautiful and is taken care of, with pride. We enjoyed every minute of our time, both playing and enjoying a cold refreshment afterwards.The personnel, on the course, clubhouse bar & restaurant and pro shop were very polite and attentive.A must play when in the Loveland area. I lived in Colorado 15 years ago and always enjoyed Marianna Butte. I have the misfortune of now living in California where golf courses half this nice are twice the price and usually include a six-hour round due to crowds. To me, all golf trips back to the front range require a stop at Marianna Butte.The only two areas in which I'd down grade this course are as follows. First, I used to play here before it was raped by excessive housing development. Over-building has taken away from the natural beauty of the course. Second, I've always found the course to be in excellent shape with the exception of those who seem adamantly opposed to fixing thier ball marks on the green. The club house ammenities aren't fancy but their fine. The food is good and not expensive. The staff is exceptionally friendly.I love this course and until I have the opportunity to leave America's toilet bowl (California), every trip back to Colorado for golf will include Marianna Butte!
